Growing Orchids

I have two white orchids that have started drooping their leaves. I give them one ice cube a week. Am I over or under watering them?

Hi Missy,

Thanks so much for visiting my tropical site…

If you are only giving your plant one ice cube a week that may not be enough, sometimes depending on your home conditions and climate.

Humidity is very important make sure you have a small tray with tiny pebbles in it underneath your plant and make sure there is water in it at all times.

Orchids can be picky and don’t like to be over or under watered but it sounds like it may need a little more water and humidity.

Here is the link to my caring for orchid’s page with general information.

Hope you have a wonderful week!

my rule of thumb for orchids is 3 ice cubes a
week and no sun on them. after they bloom don't
throw away; treat them again the same way and they
usually will bloom again.
