Tropical Fruit Tree Fertilizer

Fruit Tree Fertilizer

Fruit Tree Fertilizer and why it’s important to fertilize fruit trees and water often!

If you think about growing fruit in the way a pregnant woman would think about feeding herself well and taking care of her and her unborn baby by taking vitamins, eating healthy foods and drinking lots of water so that to out come is a healthy baby……. well the same applies when growing fruit. I know it sounds kid of strange, but if you think about it, it all makes sense.

You want to nurture your fruit tree by feeding it well with fruit tree fertilizer and fruit trees fertilizer stakes to make sure you give your trees enough nutrients and vitamins to grow healthy succulent fruit.

And ALWAYS make sure it always has lots of water.

Most of my fruit is so juicy I have to make my boys eat it out side because they drip juices every where in the house.

Many tropical fruit species of trees or vines can be grown with a great outcome in more temperate climates if a sunny and a sheltered position is provided depending on what that specific tree calls for..

Tropical fruit growth will vary and react differently to fertilizer depending on how much and how often, mangoes respond well to small amounts of fertilizer on a regular basis, 500 grams per year, this should be applied in two applications per year any time between October, December, then the next application between February and April.

Fruit trees love natural organic hydroponics fertilizers. The next best thing is fish emulsion 5-1-1. It's high in N but also loaded with micronutrients. It also slightly acidifies the soil which is needed for healthy growth and production.

Here are recommendations from Tropical mango rare and exotic fruit nursery.comregarding fruit tree fertilizer and how to fertilize fruit trees

Don't ever use chemical fertilizers on tropical and subtropical fruit trees the first year, Two years after being established is best. I only use compost and can't say enough good things about it.

Compost is organic and as it breaks down it provides a slow steady stream of nutrients to your fruit trees. Compost also enriches the soil, helps break down caliches, encourages beneficial microbes, and maintains soil and its easy to use and very inexpensive.

Pour a layer of 4 inches or more around the tree being careful to keep it about a foot from the trunk. What can be easier, plus it is natural. Some additional feeding is necessary for proper fruit production in some plants such a bananas.

If you are going to use a chemical fertilizer less is more. You should only use a diluted solution using only 50 % of what is recommended by the manufacturer. If you really want good advice get the book "Extreme Gardening", by The Garden Guy, Dave Owens or look up look up organic recipes on the internet.
