My Phalaenopsis orchid blooms wonderfully, however after the last series of blooms fell of, I have now noticed that two sets of leaves and roots have now sprouted on two different locations on the stalk. Is this normal and what should I do?

Hi Shannon,

This is normal and actually a great sign that your orchid plant is very healthy, if there is enough room in the pot for the babies to start to appear you can just leave it, or if you wish you can carefully separate them and place the new offspring’s into another container.

It sounds like you have done a great job with your orchid!

If you need more info go to my web page on these tropical flowers the Phalaenopsis.
