*Never overwater this plant, as most tropical plants. This is perfect example of "less is more"
*For best results water when the soil is almost completely dry and very little in the winter.
Bright indirect light is good, smallamounts of full sun should be okay but could cause the leaves to brown a bit but not always. I have seen them in direct sunlight and they were fine..
Well draining soil is very important for all plants, but especially so for this one, if it sits in wet soil for too long, it will develop root rot.
Pests aren't usually a problem with this very durable plant its stems are very thick and not too desirable to most plant pest.
This plant HATES THE COLD so not expose it to cold below 35ºF
